The XXII Trienniale Milan titled Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival, which is held from the 1st of March to the 1st of September 2019, includes the exhibition La Nazione delle Piante, produced by FeelRouge Worldwide Shows.
The exhibition is a scientific exposition curated by Stefano Mancuso, one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of plant neurobiology. The basic assumption from which the exhibition is based on is that one of the ways to avoid a catastrophic future for humanity is to look at plants in a new way, to use them not only for what they have to offer, but for what they can teach to humanity.
The “Nations” are the broadest level of identification of human groups, which implies the existence of a form of stable and complex organisation, with territorial boundaries. If by paradox we imagined that the plant kingdom was a nation, the rules that govern it would be completely different from ours. The exhibition is an invitation to observe this nation, which could become a model for men too.
The Nation of Plants presents itself to the world with an exhibition of art and science to begin a dissemination of the plant world never explored before, divided into five chapters. The exhibition then becomes a journey into kaleidoscopic rooms, immersive content, video-mapping and multimedia contents where our visitors have the opportunity to discover the plants intelligence and communication skills.
